​​ Maureen's creative career began in Chicago, designing tabletops and sets for national photo campaigns with clients like Ulta Beauty and Chicago Magazine. It was there she learned that style is in the details—developing an instinct for visual balance, thoughtful detail, and the emotional power of a well-crafted space.

Friends began to ask her help to reimagine their spaces—choosing furniture, lighting, paint colors and organizing homes that brought structure and calm to everyday life.  Additionally, she took on the business of staging for real estate clients, and designing gardens.

But it was while working in custom homes that her design focus crystallized. Too often, she saw beautiful kitchens that missed the mark functionally—gorgeous finishes masking layouts that didn’t support lifestyles. After just a year of Interior Design coursework she set out in the field as a Kitchen Designer. She is now in her tenth year of designing kitchens and baths and is a local member of the NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association).

Maureen has recently begun a new chapter with Kitchens by Style M! --where she’s known for her creative clarity, her ability to read between the lines of a client’s vision, and her dedication to designing spaces that not only look stunning—but are tailored to a family's lifestyle and feel like a true home!
